Tech Lead

About The Position

At Qodo, we’re building an AI Code Review platform that helps developers move fast, ship with confidence, and elevate code quality across the SDLC through deep, scalable codebase understanding.

We’re looking for a Tech Lead to join our Shift-left Solutions team – a foundational role where you’ll help shape the technical direction of our products, influence how we build at scale, and work alongside a collaborative team that values both moving quickly and building thoughtfully.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable backends: Architect and develop the systems that power our products — working across LLM prompt pipelines, latency and throughput optimization, and both SaaS and on-prem environments
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead projects from ideation through implementation, release, and operations, taking responsibility for technical decisions and their outcomes
  • Technical Leadership: Drive architectural discussions, establish engineering practices, mentor team members, and raise the bar for engineering quality
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner closely with product and frontend engineers to shape user experiences that matter, and with our global engineering teams to align on architecture and share learnings
  • Operational Excellence: Bring tools, processes, and mindsets that keep our systems reliable and our engineers focused on building

Our Technical Stack

  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Data Stores: PostgreSQL, Redis
  • AI/ML: OpenAI and other LLM integrations
  • Infrastructure: GCP

Requirements


  • 10+ years of hands-on experience building high-performance backend systems or scalable SaaS products
  • Solid expertise in Python, NodeJS, or similar modern backend languages
  • Deep understanding of SaaS application architecture running in AWS or GCP
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving and a willingness to share knowledge with teammates
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where you move quickly without compromising on quality

Bonus Points

  • Experience with GenAI products — prompts, benchmarks, tooling, and MLOps
  • Experience solving DevOps challenges
  • Previous work on developer tools
